The idea that one can have an idea and present it to the world as “the” solution is a characteristically white behavior. I’ve been guilty of it, and may still have tendencies: conditioning is tough to eradicate. Sticking in dialogues where problematic aspects of whiteness are being named as they are performed is likely one of the many ‘small’ changes that can accrue to big changes if enough people incorporate the awareness and skills of receiving and acting upon said feedback.
