This is what interpreters do, while interpreting.

We would be able to interpret better — that is, cleave closer to desired outcomes (if all really are going toward the same goal), or enabling interpretees to discover/create more clarity around areas of agreement and disagreement — if interpretees realized that the substance of their communication can be understood as (something like) a “sketch consisting of named circles and arrows.”
